Pro-Tip: Legal Protections: If it falls under legally protected reasons, it will not count against you if proof was provided to the previous landlord/manager prior to breaking your lease. (Examples: military, domestic abuse, stalking, uninhabitable conditions)

Other 2nd Chance Rental Options
Our Co-signer-Guarantor Apartment Listings: Some apartments that partner with co-signer-guarantors for their 2nd chance programs will have more flexible rental terms due to them being backed by this type of service. They also have high approval rates. The main issues they do not accept are open bankruptcy and eviction cases. They also do not control the criminal background policies of communities. (Note: While they are more flexible, it depends on how recent your situation is and if your income is stable.)
