Remember the movie Antwone Fisher? For those who don’t, he was a foster care kid who aged out of the system and ended up homeless. Every year, an estimated 20,000 young people "age out" of the U.S. foster care system. Each year, more than 700 young people in Georgia age out of foster care. The government offers little help to former foster care children who have aged out of the system, so it's no surprise that many of these kids experience negative outcomes such as homelessness, teenage pregnancy, jail, welfare, unemployment and low academic achievement. 

Prior to becoming a real estate agent then, a broker, I saw firsthand the tragic situation occurring to young people who have aged out of the foster care system.
